According to the press Association, Robert Pattinson has hinted he would like to play fictional villainous music-maker Steven Stelfox on the big screen.
Rob is going for the lead role in the film adaptation of John Niven's satirical novel, Kill Your Friends, which would see him portray the ambitiously loathsome character who takes drugs and resorts to extreme measures - including murder - to score a hit record.
"Rob is a huge fan of the novel - he is fascinated by the music industry and is keen to get involved in the project," a source told The Sun.
"He's already approached producers telling them he wants to play the leading man. If he gets the role it would be the darkest part he's ever played. It's an incredibly adult character."
